Talent Acquisition Specialist @ Green Infrastructure Partners | HR Management

Reporting to the Director, Windsor the Asphalt Production / Quality Manager will manage 2 GIP Asphalt plants, one laboratory, overseeing daily production operations to produce high-quality, cost-effective asphalt products.

Primary Scope of Role :

  • Ensure a safe working environment and promote safety initiatives within the Hot Mix Asphalt Quality Control group.
  • Manage the usage of raw materials such as sand, gravel, asphalt cement, additives, and recycled materials.
  • Reporting product usage and inventory to accounting.
  • Support the development of Quality Control technicians.
  • Manage and supervise plant personnel in order to meet production targets.
  • Implement cost control measures while maintaining product quality.
  • Oversee and manage equipment maintenance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Troubleshoot asphalt mix issues at plants and in the field.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and reporting.
  • Schedule Quality Control personnel.
  • Lead Key Performance Indicators such as mix optimization, design optimization, and recycling efficiency
  • Maintain knowledge of asphalt drum and batch plants and all related facilities.
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel to develop and implement quality control procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory certifications and leading quality control performance and process initiatives.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments and implementing new technologies.

Position Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in asphalt production or testing
  • Thorough understanding of MTO LS, ASTM, and AASHTO procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials procurement and cost control.
  • Knowledge of municipal and MTO specifications.
  • Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyse and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
  • Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
