A leading shipbuilding company in Halifax is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure compliance with steel and hull specifications. Responsibilities include conducting thorough inspections, collaborating with teams for project acceptance, and preparing documentation. Candidates should possess a Red Seal Trade Certification and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. The position offers a dynamic career in a dedicated team environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Quality Control Inspector, Steel's key responsibilities involve inspecting Steel/Hull systems and installations to ensure they meet all relevant specifications, standards, and codes. Collaborate closely with internal and external stake holders to secure the necessary approvals for project acceptance. Responsible for completing all documentation required for turnover to Canada. Additionally, they support the production team in achieving a "first time right" approach by overseeing steel/welding quality throughout the process. A key part of the roll is maintaining ISO standards throughout continuous monitoring and assessment of electrical products and procedures. Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective Action Requests (CARs) are raised as needed.
