Holcim is planning to spin off its North American Business to unleash its full potential, capitalizing on North America’s oversized growth in construction led by infrastructure modernization, a surge in advanced manufacturing and AI operations, and the growth of resilient cities.

Holcim plans to list the new company on the NYSE by the end of the first half of 2025 and establish its headquarters in the US to serve the North American market and pursue regional growth strategies.

The newly listed company aims to become North America’s leading building solutions provider, with an industry-leading market position to meet customer ambitions with advanced building solutions from foundation to rooftop.

Objective:

Manage Product Quality Control and Quality Processes effectively to ensure product performance, cost management, optimal reserve utilization, and customer satisfaction.

This position starts in May 2025.

Responsibilities:
Safety:
  • Implement Lafarge Safety Policies and comply with government legislation.
  • Induct visitors to the Quality Lab or site as required.
  • Conduct Job Hazard Analyses for QC tasks and implement action items.
  • Execute and improve Lab/QC Safety Plans.
Concrete Mix Management and Performance:
  • Test and monitor concrete and aggregate quality; report monthly to the QC team.
  • Ensure all products meet relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Implement Lafarge Quality Program, including sampling, testing, and reporting.
  • Monitor and communicate concrete performance, investigate variances, and establish corrective actions.
  • Align sales and operations to meet customer expectations.
  • Participate in QC planning and activities.
  • Use Quadrel and Command software effectively.
  • Perform lab trials for new mixes/products.
  • Provide technical support to sales, dispatch, and operations.
Human Resources:
  • Contribute to developing site-specific product knowledge for operations staff.
Technical Support:
  • Participate in quality audits and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Support customers and investigate quality incidents.
  • Engage with customers to ensure product performance and gather innovation ideas.
  • Promote Lafarge VAP products with the VAP rep.
  • Utilize resources efficiently and control costs.
Specific Accountabilities:
  • Safety, Product Performance, Customer Support, Quality Control, Troubleshooting, Cost Management, Quality Policies, and Training.
Qualification Profile:

College student in Civil Engineering, Technology, or related field.
