Heidelberg Materials Canada invites applications for a Quality Control Intern/Co-Op placement in the Ottawa area. The term runs May 2027 to December 2027, with responsibilities including routine lab testing, plant batch support, sample testing, and record-keeping.
You will work with experienced QC staff across lab, plant, and project sites. The role requires enrollment in a civil engineering or construction materials program, strong procedural discipline, and good teamwork.

Heidelberg Materials has a future job opening for a paid Quality Control Intern / Co-Op placement. This placement term is expected to run from approximately May 2027 to December 2027.
Perform routine laboratory testing and document results accurately. Support concrete plant batch testing and quality control activities. Collect, prepare, and test material samples in accordance with established procedures. Maintain organized testing records and provide general administrative support. Collaborate with the Quality Control team to support daily operations and key Ottawa area projects.
This position supports Heidelberg Materials' ready-mix concrete operations in the Ottawa area. Work will be completed in a combination of laboratory, concrete plant, office, and project-site environments. The role may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions and around active industrial operations, with occasional work required outside of normal business hours, including early mornings, overnight hours, and weekends. Required personal protective equipment and safety training will be provided. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Quality Control professionals while gaining exposure to both routine operations and major construction projects.
