Work Arrangement: Hybrid: 4 Days per Week On-Site

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Analyst applies a professional level of analytical and reasoning skills to conduct data analysis, system evaluation, and product assessment to identify quality trends and areas for improvement with assigned products. The Quality Control Analyst also employs project management and people management skills to coordinate projects such as reworking units in the warehouse by collaborating with multiple vendors, departments, factories, and other stakeholders.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Communication and Coordination
  • Serve as a liaison between the factory and customer service to streamline communication regarding quality issues, collaborating closely with manufacturing engineers to develop solutions
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to facilitate rework processes for units as directed by HQ, keeping stakeholders informed of progress
  • Report any quality issues in the field for review, conducting investigations and communicating findings to HQ for resolution (acts as the main point of contact responsible for communication between the factory and field teams)
  • Act as the intermediary between HQ and the Canadian subsidiary for the implementation of new service processes, ensuring effective communication and implementation
  • Ensure timely reporting of operational issues to HQ through the field issue control system
Service Logistics and Procurement Oversight
  • Collaborate with vendors to conduct incoming quality inspections on new models, ensuring alignment with Canadian customer expectations. Address any issues with service logistics and procurement to prevent customer dissatisfaction
  • Conduct audits of dealers' warehouse operations during visits, verifying claims of unit scrapping and managing disposal processes
  • Regularly review service bulletins to maintain accurate information on repair parts availability and service manuals, optimizing service delivery
Quality Assurance and Improvement
  • Address customer complaints regarding product issues, implementing improvements or resolutions as necessary
  • Investigate product liability issues, conducting root cause analysis in collaboration with R&D and discussing findings with legal and customer care teams
  • Analyze service claims to identify and address quality issues, sharing results with R&D to enhance product quality
  • Gather and analyze product quality data from various sources to identify and address quality issues or anomalies
  • Research competitor products to identify similar quality issues in the market, aiding in product improvement strategies
  • Conduct testing and inspections of various components to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Document quality issues for management review and prepare reports for various meetings and workgroups
  • Develop and implement quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical analysis and quality control tools
  • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance internal controls, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction
  • Validate quality-related claims and manage invoices incurred during quality issue resolution
  • Coordinate translations between English and Korean as needed by management
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Additional duties as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Bilingual - English/Korean language skills are required
  • Essential knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • At least a diploma with over 2 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree
  • Must be able to work and interact with all levels of personnel
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking, excelling under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented individual who can support teammates' work when assistance is needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field
  • 1 or more years of experience in office work regarding Quality control
  • Familiar with automation tools or programming language such Python, Perl
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills with a general understanding of home appliance functionality
  • Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly
  • Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, PMP preferred

Note: This posting is for an existing vacancy. The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000-65,000. Actual total compensation may include variable incentive pay. The determination of an applicant's base salary is based on the applicant's skills, competencies, location, and unique qualifications.
