Qualifications

The primary purpose of the Quality Compliance Auditor is to en sure compliance with internal Quality Management Systems (QMS), and applicable external standards (both second and third party), This role is responsible for maintaining audit readiness, managing the CAPA process, overseeing document control systems, ensuring traceability compliance, and maintaining the integrity of compliance documentation.

Your Role in Unpacking Possibilities

• Maintain audit readiness through effective pre-audit planning and timely post-audit follow-up, including full CAPA lifecycle management (root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and verification of effectiveness).
• Conduct facility process audits to validate QMS effectiveness and identify systemic gaps.
• Serve as a key contributor and/or team leader during second and third-party audits, including GFSI-benchmarked schemes (IFS PACsecure) AIB, FDA IMS, and customer audits.
• Utilize audit management software to monitor internal audit schedules, track findings, and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive records related to compliance activities and findings. Ensure that records are accurate and accessible for auditing purposes.
• Prepare customer compliance and quality documentation such as surveys and questionnaires.
• Lead mock recall exercises; validate and verify traceability systems and documentation integrity.
• Lead and promote problem solving teams to perform root cause analysis and failure investigations
• Administer the document control system; ensure all controlled documents are current, accurate, and aligned with applicable standards, SOPs and best practices.
• Assists in development of work instructions and form control documents
• Maintain technical files, including product safety documentation, material traceability logs, and material compliance records (e.g., drawings, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), Letters of Guarantee (LG), allergen statements).
• Contribute to HACCP validation activities, oversee Pre-requisite Programs (PRPs), and support updates to the HACCP manual.
• Support risk assessments, change control processes, and validation activities (author protocol and summarize reports).
• Facilitate compliance related training across relevant departments.
• Track and investigate non-conformances (NCs) and customer complaints.
• Identify inefficiencies in quality management system to find opportunities for improvement
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support quality and compliance objectives.

What We Want From You

• Post secondary degree in Quality, Engineering or a related technical field required.
• 5 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or food safety in a manufacturing or packaging environment preferred
• Plastic experience related to two step blow moulding, extrusion blow moulding and injection moulding an asset,
• Prior experience supporting or leading external audits (e.g., GFSI, AIB, FDA IMS, or customer audits) an asset.
• Experience with document control systems.
• HACCP Certification (required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle.
• Must have valid passport, capable of North American travel
