- Inspects and tests incoming parts from supply chain companies and internally produced components to meet quality standards and systems requirements.
- Supports the Quality Department by providing expertise to resolve quality issues within production. Ensures products meet customer requirements at each manufacturing stage, conducting relevant testing and corrective actions for non-conformance. Reports quality issues, ensuring adherence to the Quality Management System.
Job Description
- Carry out product tests and final inspections of finished assemblies, reporting defects.
- Check, progress, and collate accurate build and inspection records.
- Provide technical support in machine pre-delivery inspection, Goods Inwards, and production line quality activities.
- Inspect and audit components and manufacturing stages.
- Investigate quality issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (ISO-9001).
- Participate in inspection meetings to improve build quality.
- Assist in root cause analysis and problem resolution, implementing preventative actions.
- Ensure products flow through the inspection department and non-conformance incidents are recorded.
- Maintain calibration of equipment.
- Assist with new product introduction and provide management feedback.
- Conduct internal audits and undertake special projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities and process enhancements.
- Write reports and communicate with management.
- Achieve QA and company goals, work towards KPIs, and attend meetings.
- Engage in ongoing training and development.
Required Skills
- Understanding of quality systems.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
- Lean manufacturing knowledge.
- Awareness of ISO9001.
- Measurement and engineering drawing understanding.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in diverse teams.
- Understanding of health and safety practices.
Relationship to Management
- Liaise with other departments and support production managers.

- Be confident, goal-oriented, and collaborative.
