Definition
- Inspects and tests incoming parts from supply chain companies and internally produced components to meet quality standards and systems requirements.
- Supports the Quality Department by providing expertise to resolve quality issues within production. Ensures products meet customer requirements at each manufacturing stage, conducting relevant testing and taking corrective actions when necessary. Reports quality issues, maintaining adherence to the Quality Management System.
Job Description
- Conduct product tests and independent final inspections of finished assemblies according to defined procedures, reporting all defects.
- Check, progress, and accurately collate build and inspection records.
- Provide technical support for machine pre-delivery inspections, Goods Inwards, and production line quality activities.
- Inspect and audit all components and manufacturing process stages.
- Investigate quality issues to identify root causes, raise corrective actions, and ensure resolution.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (ISO-9001).
- Participate in inspection meetings to establish action plans for quality improvement.
- Assist in root cause analysis and problem resolution, implementing preventative actions.
- Ensure smooth flow of products through the inspection department.
- Record all incidents of non-conformance.
- Maintain calibration of equipment, ensuring proper calibration.
- Assist the Quality Manager with new product introductions.
- Provide management feedback on performance.
- Conduct internal audits of other departments.
- Undertake special projects as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Perform quality control reviews of work.
- Support process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare simple reports and communicate findings to management.
- Aim to meet QA and company goals.
- Work towards Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Attend meetings and communicate instructions effectively.
- Engage in ongoing training and development.
