Job description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to join a dynamic team. The team has successfully executed a variety of large-scale infrastructure projects, including transportation, bridges, dams, tunnels, and other major infrastructure endeavors. This site-based position requires the successful candidate to be present at the construction site.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide ongoing Quality System training and support to implement Quality Management procedures and processes by project personnel.
  2. Assist the Quality team in conducting quality reviews related to Construction and other Quality Management Plans to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and achievement of mandated quality objectives and targets.
  3. Prepare regular quality reports and summaries for the Quality team, making necessary recommendations for improvement.
  4. Ensure an Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) is developed before the start of any construction activity.
  5. Review relevant construction standards, engineering specifications, and project documents, including those mentioned in the ITPs.
  6. Track the status of all non-conformances related to audits and record them in the NCRs register.
  7. Participate in Quality audits.
  8. Responsible for segment Training and On-boarding.
  9. Review monthly reports from construction sites and identify opportunities for improvement.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil infrastructure construction projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of procedure-writing and formatting with flow charts and/or flow lines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with good interpersonal skills and effective communication at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in construction industry materials (concrete, steel, asphalt) is an asset.
  • Collaborative attitude and strong teamwork skills.

Work Environment

This is a site-based position requiring presence at the construction site. The role involves collaboration with various teams and adherence to safety standards. The work environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability and a collaborative spirit.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $100.00/hr.
