Reporting directly to the QA / Lab Supervisor and/or QA Manager, the QC Floor / Junior Technician is responsible for inspecting and verifying finished and in-process products, as well as completing all required documentation to ensure quality standards are met. This role is a vital part of the department, contributing to a work environment focused on customer service.
- On-line verification of production such as weight control, MD checks, vacuum tests, and temperature checks.
- Conduct analytical tests on finished and in-process products.
- Prepare samples for external testing.
- Complete quality documentation accurately and timely, including daily records and check sheets.
- Record test results, report anomalies, and maintain records of inspections and sanitation activities.
- Prepare weight sheets, labels, and production sheets.
- Maintain laboratory equipment through cleaning and calibration.
- Monitor production to ensure HACCP compliance and perform CCP verifications.
- Collect finished product samples, including retention samples, for microbiological testing and incubation.
- Prepare quality control reports for internal and external use.
