Job description

Reliable packaging solutions provider in Louisville, KY is seeking a experienced and talented QA Manager to join their team!

Salary $65-75k annually

Days

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with GMP, customer specifications, and internal standards.
  • Lead internal audits, CAPAs, and support external audits (regulatory and customer).
  • Manage quality control processes, including incoming raw material inspection, in-process checks, and finished product testing.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure consistent adherence.
  • Lead investigations into customer complaints, non-conformances, and deviations.
  • Oversee batch record review and release of finished goods.
  • Train and mentor staff on GMP, quality standards, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Collaborate with production, sanitation, maintenance, and R&D to ensure quality is built into processes from end to end.
  • Manage and calibrate testing equipment and laboratory processes.
  • Maintain GMP documentation and ensure audit readiness at all times.
  • Support environmental monitoring, allergen control, and sanitation verification programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field (required)
  • 2+ years of quality experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing, preferably in household chemicals, personal care, food, pharma, or related
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, CAPA, deviation handling, and root cause analysis
  • Experience with regulatory inspections, customer audits, and third-party certifications
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Sage, etc.) is a plus
  • Certification in Quality Auditing (CQA), Six Sigma, or related disciplines is a plus
