The Quality Assurance Manager will design, implement, and improve company quality standards.

  1. Analyze data in order to find areas for growth.
  2. Assist in the recruiting process.
  3. Training, motivating, coaching, and correcting employees to ensure that standards are met.
  4. Create reports to track progress.
  5. Monitor compliance with the Health and Safety procedures and take appropriate action to deal with non-conformances.
  6. Train, re-train, develop and maintain staff that are competent in statistical techniques, data analysis, troubleshooting, physical testing, chemistry, and other training as deemed necessary.
  7. Develop and maintain a Q.A. program covering procedures/test methods used by Q.A., inspectors and line operators as well as programs such as ISO 9000.
  8. Develop and maintain Quarantine/Hold/Rework and Waste Management processes and procedures.
  9. Supervise disposal, rework, and recycling procedures.
  10. Provide technical support for consumer/customer complaints in terms of chemical/physical testing and problem solving.
  11. Ensure all incoming materials are in compliance with specifications.
  12. Monitor the warehouse and shipping to ensure proper handling and compliance with T.D.G.
  13. Manage information sources and their review, summarizing quality management system information into quarterly management reports.
  14. As ISO Co-Ordinator, develop and maintain the ISO documentation system.
  15. Ensure that all finished goods leaving our facility meet Recochem standards and requirements.
  16. Provide prompt corrective action to ensure that all products and processes meet specifications.
  17. Troubleshoot to determine cause/effect relationship of various quality/productivity problems.
  18. Technical management of batching/blending process.
  19. Develop and maintain data collection sheets, records and samples for all Q.A. related functions.
  20. Provide services to assist other departments to ensure our products remain competitive and to achieve and maintain acceptable and competitive quality standards for packaging components, product and finished goods.
  21. Conduct routine inspection tours of premises (H & S Audits, Quality audits etc.).
  22. Maintain a record of all supplier product specifications and ensure compliance of incoming ingredients, packaging materials and finished goods.
  23. Monitor the warehouse to ensure proper storage, handling, rotation and respond on a timely basis to leakers or damaged products.
  24. Review and approve new and/or revised artwork of labels and sleeves.
  25. Document Customer Complaints and monitor their investigation.
  26. Audit and qualify potential vendors and co-packers.
  27. Ability to communicate/interact with all departments to effectively identify and solve problems.
  28. Ability to work in a team environment.
  29. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  30. Knowledge of all lab equipment and testing methodologies used in a laboratory.
  31. Solid understanding of quality processes, methods, and statistical techniques.
  32. Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  33. Working knowledge of computer applications including Word, Excel, QC-Pro and PowerPoint.
  34. Supervising, hiring, evaluating, and training etc. a group of Quality inspectors.
  35. Leading, facilitating and strong commitment to continuous improvement.
  36. Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems.
  37. General knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
  38. Knowledge of IATF 16949 QMS.
