Carfair Composites is a leader in fiber-reinforced plastic design and composite technologies. POSITION SUMMARY:

Your primary role will be to support the implementation and smooth functioning of the Carfair Quality Assurance program. This position involves engaging with both internal team members and external customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Be the visible first point of contact on-site at the customer's facility
  • Build and maintain front-line customer contact and relationships to aid in root cause analysis of issues
  • Investigate issues and report back to the Carfair facility
  • Collect objective data to confirm the validity of issues and effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Coordinate on-site rework as required and oversee the quality of the rework
  • Run the daily MRB meeting within the facility
  • Interact with manufacturing and leadership to communicate issues and work through problem resolution; gain feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement
  • Perform internal audits as scheduled
  • Utilize ISO 9001 Quality Management tools effectively
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Drive and sustain all elements of the Carfair Operational Excellence program (OpEx), focusing on 5S as its foundation, especially as new elements are introduced
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years managing quality functions within manufacturing
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline and/or equivalent experience preferred
  • ASQ certification(s) desired
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); excellent communication and organizational skills

Most travel is local and during business hours, up to 5%.
