Job summary

Price Electronics in Winnipeg, Manitoba, a division of Price Industries, is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to verify PCBAs and cable assemblies meet quality standards. You will maintain inspection records, address audit findings, and help fix issues by finding root causes and implementing improvements.

The role is on-site with a 4-day/10-hour shift pattern (Mon-Thu, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM) and opportunities to contribute to product quality and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with inspection tools: microscope, magnifier, caliper, micrometer.
• IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 / IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification an asset.
• ISO9001:2015 and ISO13485:2016 familiarity an asset.

Responsibilities

• In-process and final inspection of PCBs/assemblies (PCB/PCBAs) and cable assemblies per IPC standards.
• Maintain inspection records using electronic information systems.
• Assist in resolution of audit findings, observations, and recommendations.
• Assist with control and disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).
• Assist with root cause, corrective action, and 8D methodologies for nonconformances.
• Other duties as assigned.

Quality Assurance Inspector - Price Electronics

Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Inspector checks printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and cable assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards. Main tasks include keeping inspection records, addressing audit issues, handling defective materials, and helping fix problems by finding the cause and making improvements.

Work Schedule

Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (4 day/10hr shifts, including 2 paid 15-minute breaks per shift)

The Successful Candidate's Responsibilities Will Include

• In-process and final inspection of printed circuit boards / assemblies (PCB / PCBAs), cable assemblies according to the quality, performance, and acceptance criteria defined by IPC-A-610 / IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and other manufacturing drawings/documents.
• Maintain inspection records utilizing many different electronic information systems.
• Assist in the resolution of audit findings, observations, and recommendations.
• Assist with the control and disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).
• Assist with the resolution to internal/external nonconformance using root cause, corrective action, and 8D methodologies.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have

• Experience in operating/programming Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) an asset.
• Experience with ISO9001:2015 and/or ISO13485:2016 Quality Management Systems an asset.
