Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Quality Assurance Analyst at Rainbet. The applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with testing existing features as well as testing new releases, with both manual and automation testing. You must be able to work well in a team environment and be a leader among your peers.
You will be required to work from an office for a minimum of 3 days per week in the Fredericton area. You must be a local to the area or willing to re-locate at your cost.
Responsibilities
- Constant testing all aspects of the application, ensuring top quality including both visual consistency as well as API functionality.
- Ability to use Postman or other API test suites to test API behavior.
- Execute detailed test plans and test cases to validate all aspects of the casino website’s functionality.
- Perform regression testing on new builds or releases to ensure existing features remain stable.
- Write, organize, and maintain comprehensive test cases (manual and automated, if applicable) based on functional specifications, user stories, and technical requirements.
- Log defects with clear, reproducible steps, screenshots, or network logs.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify steps to reproduce and verify defect fixes.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of QA or software testing experience, preferably in an online gaming, casino, or fintech environment.
- Hands-on experience testing web applications: creating and executing manual test cases, understanding front-end/back-end interactions, and evaluating UI/UX flows.
- Proficiency with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia, SoapUI) and basic understanding of RESTful services.
- Must have hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress for automated testing
- Ability to write and run SQL queries directly to validate data and support testing.
- A strong attention to detail, able to notice subtle discrepancies between intended design/functionality and the actual version being tested.
- A natural inclination to “poke around,” explore edge cases, and ask questions, even when specs seem complete.
- Ability to juggle multiple test cycles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
