Responsibilities

  • Provide daily quality oversight of production activity, including review of batch records.
  • Coordinate the quality assurance program related to radiotracer and radioisotope programs.
  • Coordinate facility-related quality programs with IAMI stakeholders.
  • Place orders for materials and supplies per procedures and assist with release of quarantined materials.
  • Trend data for annual compliance reports.
  • Ensure complaints, incidents, errors and deficiencies are documented and investigated.

The Institute for Advanced Medical Isotopes (IAMI) is a state-of-the-art facility for research into next-generation, life‑saving medical isotopes and radiopharmaceuticals. Located on TRIUMF's campus, it will comprise an integrated series of labs and a TR-24 medical cyclotron, one of the most technologically advanced commercial cyclotrons in the world. IAMI will significantly increase British Columbia's and Canada's capacity for the sustainable and reliable production and distribution of medical isotopes currently critical for Canadian health research and clinical use, including Technetium-99m and Fluorine-18.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide daily quality oversight of production activity, including review of batch records
  • Coordinate the quality assurance program related to the radiotracer and radioisotope programs through implementing and monitoring relevant procedures
  • Coordinate the facility‑related quality programs with all IAMI stakeholders
  • Place orders for materials and supplies according to established procedures, assisting with release of quarantined materials
  • Trend data for annual compliance reports
  • Ensure complaints, incidents, errors and deficiencies are correctly documented, controlled and investigated
  • Assist with Change Requests, Deviations, and out of specification documentation
  • Receive orders for radiotracers and radioisotopes, and reviewing regulatory commitments
  • Report to leadership and stakeholders on the status of the quality assurance program
  • Assist with coordinating with contractors for equipment calibration and inspection
  • Assist with bi‑annual documentation review
  • Maintain quality‑system related records and reports according to established policies
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The incumbant will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

  • Forward thinking with strong problem‑solving and prioritization skills
NUCLEAR ENERGY WORKER

You will be required to successfully complete the TRIUMF in‑house radiation safety training course and be designated as a TRIUMF Nuclear Energy Worker.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • A bachelor's degree or a diploma in a STEM field, chemistry or natural sciences preferred
  • 1-3 years of professional experience

Although not a requirement, the following knowledge, experience and qualifications would be considered an asset to your application.

  • Knowledge of Health Canada, FDA or EMA regulations
  • Training or experience in the principles of data governance and data integrity
  • Experience with inventory management

Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada on a permanent basis (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Annual Salary: $59,925.00 plus our comprehensive employer‑paid benefits plan
