Job summary

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a QA Coordinator to manage non-conformances, root cause analysis, and inspections for pumps and spares, while maintaining ISO 9001 aligned quality systems.

You will coordinate 3rd-party inspectors, prepare quality documentation, and support continuous improvement to reduce COPQ, reporting to the site QA Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in Quality Control/QA is mandatory.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and test reports.

Pay Range: The base pay range for this position is $65,000 – 70,000 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

This position will function as the QA Coordinator for ISO Quality Program reporting to the site QA Supervisor. This candidate will be responsible for managing non-conformances, root cause analysis, administration, and coordination of pump inspections, including 3rd-party inspectors for all contracts for new equipment and spares orders, and manufacturing inspection and test plans. The candidate will also be expected to help maintain the Quality Systems to improve customer satisfaction and COPQ reduction .

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage all non-conformances, including supplier-related non-conformances and deviation requests.
  • Documenting Nonconformities, ensuring all details are captured accurately, including description of nonconformance, type of nonconformance, and associated risks or specifications that were not met.
  • Investigating and Resolving Nonconformities, conducting investigations to determine root causes and implementing corrective actions to resolve them, including analysing data, inspecting processes, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by analysing nonconformities and identifying areas for process enhancements and quality improvements.
  • Lead, coordinate, and host customers and 3rd party inspectors during witness inspection activities over the life of the project/order.
  • Preparation of quality documentation for other departments and submittals to customers as well as packages for 3rd party inspector reviews.
  • Develop and implement Quality control plans for manufacturing processes throughout the facility.
  • Support QA Inspector by performing visual and dimensional inspections and documentation review for incoming items; perform dimensional inspection and documentation review of in-process and final inspections on items and/or pumps.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working experience in a Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving processes.
  • Strong people skills, communication and writing skills, critical thinking skills, diligence.
  • Non-conformance reporting requirements.
  • Ability to collect and organize data and develop charts for meaningful analysis and understanding.
  • Ability to interpret Engineering drawings, specifications, test reports, conformance documents, and technical procedures.
  • Ability to use inspection and measuring equipment appropriate for inspection requirements.
  • Comfortable with a changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in all MS products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Education and Experience
  • Certificate in Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance is mandatory.
  • Direct working knowledge and experience in manufacturing with use of ISO Standards and Inspection.
  • Experience in interfacing with Customers, the leadership team, and suppliers.
  • Experience in manufacturing of Pumps/ Pressure vessels is an asset.
