Job summary

Airbus Helicopters Canada Ltd in Fort Erie is seeking a Quality Assurance Composite Assembly Inspector (Temporary) to join our manufacturing team.

You will perform visual and in-process inspections of composite assemblies, verify potting shelf life, and ensure inserts and components follow drawings and specifications. This on-site role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to quality KPIs.

Qualifications

• College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technician or Technologist or relevant experience.
• 5 years of composite experience (Manufacturing/Assembly Inspection) with ISO 9001/AS 9100.
• NDT/Ultrasonic Inspection experience is an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to write technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and process inspections across composite assemblies and layups.
• Verify potting material shelf life and correct installation per drawings.
• Record nonconformities, quarantine non conforming parts with red tags, and prepare shipping documentation.
• Lead root-cause and corrective action using Rapid 5 Whys and 8D tools.
• Perform First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.
• Support and train assembly technicians on inspection requirements.
• Meet planned weekly and daily KPIs for inspection plans.
