Job summary

Frima Studio in Quebec City and Montreal is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join a multidisciplinary team on one of our biggest projects. You’ll gather and analyze information, define test plans, and monitor test suites while collaborating with English-speaking partners.

We value multilingual aptitude, mobile game experience, and strong Jira/data analysis skills. Travel internationally may be required; flexible work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• College diploma or combination of relevant studies (computer science, multimedia, web, video game, etc.).
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst in the video game industry.
• Experience working on a mobile game project (a significant asset).
• Good knowledge of Jira.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools.
• Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written). English skills are required to perform the job, as we collaborate with English-speaking partners.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with the partner team to gather and analyze relevant information regarding the assigned content in order to prepare test plans.
• Define and maintain appropriate test plans in accordance with project specifications.
• Coordinate and monitor the completion of test suites based on deliverables.
• Create, maintain, and present dashboards showing KPIs related to product quality.
• Regularly track the status of reported bugs and update test documentation.
• Identify, collect, and analyze test data to prepare progress reports.
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the player experience.
• Work to improve and optimize quality assurance practices on your project (tools, methods, etc.).
• Engage and educate team members on the importance of product quality.
• Influence the scope, direction, and testing methodology required for your project.
• Support the quality assurance lead, as needed, in project management.
• Participate in executing test suites, as needed.
