Quality Analyst Technician – Audio Visual (AV) Systems

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider with an opening for a Quality Analyst Technician at our client, a top Canadian Bank.

Client : A top Canadian Bank

Terms : 6 months, with possibility to extend

Location : Onsite - Downtown

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform QA/QC testing on AV systems including Crestron, Flex / MTR(s), SurfaceHubs, Dante, Biamp, QSYS, and related technologies.
  • Test and troubleshoot conference room cameras (Poly, PTZ, OneBeyond, QSYS, Huddly, Logi) for performance, alignment, and integration.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Microsoft Teams and Office 365 with AV systems.
  • Conduct network compatibility testing (Wi-Fi, PoE, firewall/security) and validate data flow, latency, and connection stability.
  • Use QSYS for operational testing, configuration, and performance verification.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to resolve integration issues and optimize AV performance.
  • Document test results, issues, and resolutions clearly and consistently.
  • Support AV system deployment and provide technical guidance during troubleshooting.
  • Apply QA/QC best practices to meet reliability, safety, and performance standards.

Required Qualifications :

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience with AV technologies and systems.
  • Proven experience with Crestron, QSYS, SurfaceHubs, Dante, Biamp, and related platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams, Office 365, and UC technologies.
  • Experience with conference room AV setups and camera systems.
  • Familiarity with network technologies including Wi-Fi, PoE, and security applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, capable of working in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Operational experience with QSYS in live environments.
  • Exposure to trade floor AV systems, IPT, and digital delay technologies.
  • Industry certification such as AQAV9000 or equivalent is a plus.

Candidate Profile :

  • Deep expertise in Crestron and QSYS, with lead-level preferred.
  • Strong QA/QC and AV troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across engineering and IT teams.
