Job summary

Cahill Fabrication Structural, a division of The Cahill Group, is seeking a Quality Administrator for our Torbay, NL facility. You will organize QA documentation and project records, manage MTRs and welding records, and coordinate with Production, Engineering, and QA/QC teams to ensure accurate, complete documentation.

The role emphasizes process improvements, cross‑department cooperation, and maintaining orderly records to support fabrication quality turnover packages and project handovers.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, Engineering Technology, Quality Management, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize quality management system documentation, project records, and electronic files.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of fabrication quality turnover packages.
• Track and organize Material Test Reports (MTRs), certificates, supplier documentation, and other project records.
• Maintain weld maps, weld logs, welder qualification records, and related welding documentation.
• Coordinate, organize, and file inspection and test records.
• Review incoming documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Compile customer turnover packages and final project documentation.
• Work with Production, Engineering, Project Management, and QA/QC to obtain and maintain required documentation.
• Track outstanding documentation and follow up with internal teams and suppliers as required.
• Support general administrative requirements of the team.
• Identify opportunities to improve document organization and workflow efficiency.

Cahill Fabrication Structural, a division of The Cahill Group, is currently recruiting a Quality Administrator to join our team at our fabrication facility in Torbay, NL.

What will you do?

• Maintain and organize quality management system documentation, project records, and electronic files.
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of fabrication quality turnover packages.
• Track and organize Material Test Reports (MTRs), certificates, supplier documentation, and other project records.
• Maintain weld maps, weld logs, welder qualification records, and related welding documentation.
• Coordinate, organize, and file inspection and test records.
• Review incoming documentation to ensure information is complete, accurate, and properly filed.
• Compile customer turnover packages and final project documentation.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Project Management, and QA/QC personnel to obtain and maintain required documentation.
• Track outstanding documentation and follow up with internal teams and suppliers as required.
• Support general administrative requirements of the team.
• Identify opportunities to improve document organization, administrative processes, and workflow efficiency.

What will you bring?

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, Engineering Technology, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
• Exposure to welding documentation, including weld maps, weld logs, WPSs, and welder qualification records is considered an asset.
• Previous experience in Quality, QA/QC, document control, fabrication, or construction is considered an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a high volume of documentation while maintaining accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and follow up on outstanding information.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet project deadlines.
