Job summary

A consulting firm is seeking a QMS Technical Writer in a hybrid role based in Toronto. This position involves translating complex technical information into clear, concise documents for a diverse audience. Job description

We are seeking a QMS Technical Writer to join our Quality team in a hybrid role based in Toronto. In this position, you will collaborate closely with our Global QMS authors to ensure that processes and technical information are written clearly and can be easily understood by a diverse, global audience. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring aligned interpretation and consistent implementation of Global QMS documents across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and easily digestible written content for a broad and diversified audience.
  • Simplify technical jargon and break down intricate concepts to ensure clarity and usability in Global QMS documents.
  • Collaborate with Global QMS authors to deconstruct detailed processes into manageable, intuitive sections that are easy to follow.
  • Embed visual workflows and create detailed diagrams to support user understanding of complex processes and interdependencies.
  • Write and structure complex processes in a logical, streamlined manner to support accuracy and consistency across Global QMS documentation.
  • Deliver finalized documents to authors within required timelines to support updates, reviews, and document lifecycle processes.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Life Sciences or equivalent field.
  • 5+ years of experience writing technical documentation, preferably within a regulated industry.
  • Experience in manufacturing, quality, and familiarity with Health Authority regulations is a strong plus.
  • Strong collaboration and team-working skills, with excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Skilled in creating clear, consistent, and structured documents using templates, drafts, and standardized formats.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and strong attention to detail in all documentation activities.
Expected Compensation Range

50K-80K The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate’s level of experience, skills, and qualifications, in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.

Canadian Experience Requirement

No Canadian work experience is required for this position. Candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of previous Canadian experience.
