Job description

FileCloud is seeking a highly motivated and experienced QE Engineer to join our team in Canada. This role involves creating test cases, preparing test data, maintaining quality throughout sprints, ensuring the product is defect-free, and delivering a positive user experience. The ideal candidate should think creatively to develop innovative testing methods. This position is remote and requires collaboration with team members remotely.

About the Product & Company:

FileCloud is a hyper-secure EFSS (enterprise file sync and share) platform offering compliance, data governance, leak protection, retention, and digital rights management. It is a leader in content governance and collaboration, trusted worldwide by Global 1000 enterprises, educational institutions, government organizations, and service providers. Our product portfolio includes Signority, an e-signature and document workflow platform acquired in May 2024. We are expanding our team to support our growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the QE Practice Lead to develop comprehensive test plans outlining scope, objectives, and strategies.
  2. Create detailed test cases based on requirements, specifications, and user stories.
  3. Execute test cases to validate functionality, identify defects, and ensure quality standards.
  4. Perform sprint testing for new code changes and stress testing of features based on impact analysis.
  5. Document defects clearly and report them via defect management tools.
  6. Manage test data for relevance, consistency, and availability.
  7. Generate test reports and metrics.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  9. Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
  2. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software quality engineering.
  3. Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
  4. Proficiency in QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  5. Experience with test and defect management tools.
  6. Ability to write clear and comprehensive test plans and cases.
  7. Mandatory experience with automation testing (Pytest, Playwright, PHP).
  8. Ability to set up and maintain test labs with multiple environments.
  9. Experience reproducing customer-reported issues for troubleshooting.
  10. Knowledge of testing on Linux and Windows OS.
  11. Basic understanding of APIs.
  12. Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
  13. ISQBT certification is a plus.
  14. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
