Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a QC Technician for our Richmond Hill facility on the night shift. You will perform quality testing on aseptic products and soup batches, manage NCRs, and support microbiological sampling in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires post-secondary education in Food Science (or related field) and about 1 year in food manufacturing, with strong attention to detail and data entry. Nights: 7:00 pm–7:30 am; hourly $31.99 with premium.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Food Science or related field preferred.
  • 1 year of food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated team player able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong data-entry skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to conduct sensory evaluations, including tasting liquid broth containing meat and seafood ingredients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality testing and release of aseptic products and soup batches, including pH, Brix, Total Solids, Density, Sodium, sensory, and organoleptic evaluations.
  • Perform routine line, product, packaging, case, cooler, glass, weight, pasteurizer, and peroxide checks.
  • Manage NCRs, product holds, investigations, documentation, and follow-up through closure.
  • Assist with microbiological testing, plating, sample collection, and external laboratory submissions as required.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
