Job summary

Apotex Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician to join the Quality Unit and oversee the shipping and receiving of lab instruments, equipment, and chemicals. You will help maintain chemical inventories, ensure proper labeling and storage, and support waste disposal and instrument calibration.

The role requires a Diploma in Chemical Technology or equivalent, GMP knowledge, and the ability to work in a team environment. Training on PQs and adherence to safety policies is provided.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Technology or related field (minimum 2 years) or high school diploma with 3+ years of lab/industrial experience.
• Familiarity with GMP and standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 kg and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Document shipping and receiving of lab instruments, equipment and chemicals to and from the Analytical Operations/QC department.
• Support ordering to maintain stock levels of chemicals, solvents, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory of chemicals, solvents and lab ware; manage physical and electronic records.
