Job summary

Apotex is a Canadian-based global health company dedicated to improving access to affordable medicines and health products. This role is responsible for testing packaging materials and analyzing results to ensure conformance with specifications and GMP requirements.

The job requires a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or a related field (or a related community college diploma with at least 1 year of experience).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science from a recognized educational institution in Chemistry or a related field.
• OR Community College diploma in a related field and a minimum of 1 year relevant experience in the analysis of pharmaceutical products.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include good English communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, knowledge of cGMPs and cGLPs, MS Office, strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Receives and tests incoming printed, unprinted components to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Identifies and reports any OOS/OOT or questionable results, and assists in lab investigations.
• Performs daily calibration of lab equipment such as balance, pH meter and Milli-Q Water.
• Performs calibration/verification of all applicable test equipment according to procedures.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
