Job Summary:

Conducts pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure concrete members meet specified tolerances as per shop cards and PCI. Performs concrete testing, witnesses stressing, and establishes curing controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect bed setup according to shop drawings for proper reinforcement placement, including strands, plate locations, and structural connections.
  • Identify nonconforming items and notify relevant personnel for corrective actions.
  • Perform concrete tests such as slumps, unit weights, air content, and prepare cylinders for release and 28-day curing.
  • Set up steam clocks to maintain proper curing temperatures.
  • Monitor finishing procedures in the finishing shed.
  • Inspect final products, document nonconformances, and notify the Engineering Department for approval or repair. Conforming products receive a green tag; nonconforming products requiring engineering approval receive a red tag.
  • Verify repaired members meet engineering standards.
  • Document and submit non-conformance reports in writing for engineering approval.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
