Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree can expand horizons and earning potential.
  • Professional certifications such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor.
  • Real-time experience in quality domains preferred.
  • Basic math to measure and calculate specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment, manuals, and blueprints for quality standards.
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of quality control standards and safety guidelines.
  • Experience with maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to use gauges, micrometers and calipers accurately.

Job description

Quality Control Inspector monitors the quality aspects of incoming raw materials to CIL and the products that are ready to be shipped. They also ensure that manufactured products meet the specified quality standards set by the organization before being sent to customers. The quality control inspector job role involves analyzing the measurements, conducting tests, and monitor the production phase

1- Training, Experience, Education and Skill Requirements
  • Having a bachelor's degree can expand your job horizons and earning potentiality as well
  • Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor
  • Real-time experience in the same domain is preferred.
  • Having a basic knowledge of math is essential in measuring and calculating specifications during product development.
  • The quality control inspectors should possess strong knowledge of the type of equipment and computer programs used adhering to the safety guidelines of the organization. They must also know technical documents, manuals, and blueprints so as to ensure products meet the quality standards.
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Profound knowledge of quality control standards
  • Background in routine maintenance
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of gauges, micrometers and calipers
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
  • Must also be able to use measuring devices accurately.
  • Must be able to comply with all OSHA and WISHA safety rules and regulations.
2- Job Related Duties & Responsibilities
  • Carry out quality assessment measures of all the products ready to be shipped and incoming raw materials
  • Take a thorough look at the plans, specifications, and blueprints to understand the product requirements
  • Reject all the incoming raw materials fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue to the concerned department at the earliest
  • Resolving quality-related issues adhering to deadlines
  • Design an efficient design protocol which can be used across all domain
  • Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records
  • Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met
  • Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product
  • Monitor the production phase at various levels
  • Good Inspection Skills and Blueprint reading skills with ability to use all shop inspection tools
  • Basic Troubleshooting skills and must be able to recognize production problems such as out-of-tolerance Machining, poor finishes, damaged or worn cutters, and tooling
  • Meets job standard times with minimal supervision
  • Maintain finishes as required on blueprint
  • Follow applicable work instructions and maintain appropriate records.
