Position Title: Contract Quality Auditor – Damage Prevention

What You'll Do

Summary:

Our goal is to be the most trusted electrical contractor, offering knowledgeable crews equipped with the best tools, completing projects safely, efficiently, and economically. To support our local client, Xcel Energy, we seek a Contract Quality Auditor.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform random and scheduled locate audits for Xcel Energy to ensure compliance with standards and laws.
  • Communicate audit results to locate vendors for corrective actions.
  • Document audits and related details.
  • Monitor directional boring activities for correctness and safety, reporting risks.
  • Perform audits in high-risk areas, ensuring compliance with laws and safety practices.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings with excavators on best practices around Xcel Energy facilities.
  • Assist with ticket screening and serve as backup for Service Center Representatives as needed.
What You'll Bring

Must demonstrate:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Damage Prevention.
  • Ability to interpret gas and electric distribution records.
  • Effective communication skills with Xcel Energy personnel and field crews.
  • Knowledge of industry and Xcel Energy’s excavation practices.
  • Understanding of applicable laws.
  • Operator Qualification requirements.
  • Ability to locate and identify Xcel Energy’s buried facilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Adaptability to specialized software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Equipment Requirements:

  • Company-approved line locator and ½ ton 4x4 pickup.
  • Field safety gear: hard hat, safety vest, traffic cones.
  • Company-approved cellular phone and data plan.
  • Clothing allowance.
What You'll Get

Benefits and Compensation:

Comprehensive benefits including employer-paid Medical, Dental, Vision, Hearing, Prescription, life insurance, disability, and a 401(k) plan. The hourly rate ranges from $25.00 to $28.00, based on qualifications and other factors. This estimate complies with applicable laws and is specific to Colorado; outside Colorado, compensation may vary.
