We are hiring on behalf of a prominent IT services provider supporting a leading U.S.-based investment banking and capital markets firm. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a skilled Functional QA Tester with experience in Fidessa or Ullink platforms to help ensure the stability and integrity of critical trading systems.

About the Role

In this hybrid role (3 days onsite in Mississauga), you will play a vital part in validating the functionality and performance of trading systems for cash equities, futures, and options . You'll collaborate closely with trading, development, and QA teams to test and enhance systems built on Fidessa or Ullink platforms—ensuring robust, compliant, and high-performing trade operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain functional test cases across Fidessa or Ullink trading platforms.
• Validate core trading workflows, including order management, execution, and settlement processes.
• Identify, report, and track system defects; verify bug fixes and software updates.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and traders to understand requirements and user flows.
• Conduct regression and smoke testing during development and release cycles.
• Ensure testing aligns with both technical specifications and regulatory requirements .
• Participate in test planning, peer reviews, and documentation of test results and processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience performing QA testing on Fidessa (Royal Blue / ION) or Ullink (UL Trader) platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cash equities, futures, and options markets and trading lifecycles.
• Familiarity with order lifecycle, trade workflows, and settlement mechanisms .
• Proficiency with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
• Excellent analytical thinking and a sharp eye for detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional team settings.
