Hyper Hippo Entertainment Ltd. is seeking a QA Tester to help ensure the quality of our mobile games, including AdVenture Capitalist and AdVenture Communist.

You’ll work with Developers and Game Designers to identify bugs, provide feedback, and improve player experience across development stages. You’ll plan and execute test activities, log and prioritize bugs, review test plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Competenze

• 2+ years experience in a QA role, preferably in digital/mobile gaming.
• A passion for user experience and making great mobile products.
• Knowledge of bug entry and collaboration tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience with G Suite tools including Sheets, Docs, Hangouts, etc.
• Knowledge of testing phases and approaches, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end.
• BONUS: Experience with Unity, automated testing tools, version control (Git/SVN), Android Studio, Xcode, Google Play Console and iTunes Connect.

The Opportunity

As part of our production team, you'll play an important role in ensuring the quality of our mobile games, including award-winning titles like AdVenture Capitalist and AdVenture Communist. Working closely with Developers and Game Designers, you'll use your testing experience to identify bugs, provide meaningful feedback, and help improve the overall player experience throughout development. A QA Tester’s Impact

• Plans and executes test activities including creating test plans, testing new content, logging/prioritizing bugs, and assisting with bug triages
• Collaborates with other QA team members, developers, producers, and project managers - including reviewing test plans and strategies, escalation of risks, and reporting on test plan progression
• Works on projects at various stages of development, from pre-production through to live operations
• Provides regular updates to Senior QA, QA Manager, Producers, and Project Managers for the respective products

• Monitors Player Support feedback channels to actively identify and elevate service issues; and works with the Player Experience team to ensure bug-related community feedback is investigated and addressed

• Assists Senior QA with release and testing process functions
• Weighs-in on feature design and playtest prototypes for new games and features
• Advocates for a culture of shared quality ownership throughout the studio and project teams
• Inspires teamwork and collaboration

Your Track Record Includes

• 2+ years experience in a QA role, preferably in digital/mobile gaming

What We Offer!

• Your base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. The annual base salary for this position is $66,500 - $70,000 for candidates located in British Columbia and Ontario. For other jurisdictions, your base salary may be different.
