Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Audit implementation of quality systems for effectiveness, verifying operational activities to Gate Gourmet, Customer, and Regulatory specifications.
  2. Monitor corrective action systems.
  3. In conjunction with the QA Manager and Supervisor, educate (train) staff and managers on quality issues.
  4. Develop and implement comprehensive quality programs.
  5. Implement quality systems as detailed in the quality manual.
  6. Lead total quality improvement efforts, initiate problem solving, and ensure implementation.
  7. Drive prevention of defects over detection.
  8. Coordinate actions to prevent nonconformities.
  9. Maintain customer compliance resolution.
  10. Manage key performance metrics for the Quality organization.
  11. Control food safety and quality in processing and manufacturing.
  12. Support customer and government audits for compliance.
  13. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  14. Verify that quality specifications and requirements are met.
  15. Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
  16. Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with customer specifications.
  17. Train and monitor employees on proper procedures to maximize productivity and security while minimizing costs.
  18. Evaluate performance, coach, counsel, and implement corrective actions for employees, liaising with HR.
Qualifications

Education:

  • College degree in a related discipline with knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, and/or Quality Management.

Work Experience:

  • At least 1 year in food safety control practices (GMPs, SOPs, HACCP) and quality program control.
  • At least 2 years in high-volume food production, manufacturing, or related environments; airline industry experience is a plus.

Skills:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of quality auditing and inspection methods.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, reading, writing, and communication skills.

Preferred skills include analytical skills, basic statistics, knowledge of Public Health regulations, HACCP certification, and understanding of lean, six sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
