Job summary

Green Shield Canada (GSC) is seeking a seasoned QA Automation Engineer III to design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and mobile apps. You will work across cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases and implement scalable test solutions.

You’ll lead automation efforts using Cypress and Appium, write robust JavaScript tests, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps. Strong communication and mentoring abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance with a focus on test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress and Appium.
• Proficient in JavaScript for writing and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Solid experience with version control systems such as GitHub.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (preferably in Azure DevOps).
• Experience with REST API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and TestRail (or similar tools) for test case management.
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer III to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for both web and mobile applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
