Job summary

Cisco Montreal is seeking a Quality Assurance Software Developer Co-op to design and build automated test frameworks for Cisco platforms. You will write Python scripts, debug tests, and help integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines to speed up releases.

You will work with senior developers, gain hands-on experience with cloud and test infrastructure, and contribute to high-quality software delivery across Cisco’s global infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program (Associate's or Bachelor's) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Foundational programming and scripting skills in Python, Java, or C/C++ with coursework or practical experience.
• Familiarity with software quality assurance concepts, Linux command-line environments, and Git version control.
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation concepts (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and software development lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks to validate Cisco platforms.
• Write, debug, and maintain automated test scripts using Python to improve regression coverage.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to enable rapid software delivery.
• Analyze test results using Linux tools and debugging to identify root causes of defects.
