Job summary

SGS in Delta, BC is seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Coordinator to join our quality assurance team. You will coordinate QA/QC activities, manage inspection processes, and collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure top quality across operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in QA/QC, strong Excel skills, and ability to work across time zones. You’ll support documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement through efficient processes and transparent communication.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in quality assurance, quality control, or inspection coordination.
  • Experience reviewing and summarizing technical quality requirements and contractual specs.
  • Sourcing, assessing, and managing QA/QC resources and inspectors.
  • Understanding of quality processes, vendor management, and inspection methodologies.
  • Experience with multiple stakeholders across time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate QA/QC activities and serve as primary contact for inquiries.
  • Acknowledge inspection requests within SLAs with required docs.
  • Load and manage QC jobs in designated systems.
  • Source and confirm availability of QA/QC resources by location and project.
  • Prepare and submit QC proposals and documentation to clients.
  • Expedite receipt of quality reports within 24–48 hours.
  • Review reports and findings to meet customer requirements.
  • Notify stakeholders of critical non-conformances promptly.
  • Manage billing quantities, rates, and invoicing per templates.
  • Maintain records per quality procedures and policies.
  • Suggest improvements via technology and digitalization.
  • Ensure compliance with QA procedures and health/safety policies.
  • Maintain clean and professional work environment.

Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative QA/QC Coordinator to join our quality assurance team in Delta, BC, Canada. In this role, you'll serve as a key player in ensuring our organization maintains the highest quality standards across all operations. You'll coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities, manage inspection processes, and work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.   • Coordinate and execute quality assurance and quality control activities, serving as the primary point of contact for QA/QC inquiries and escalations
  • Receive and acknowledge quality inspection requests within established service level agreements, ensuring all necessary documentation and scope requirements are clearly understood
  • Load and manage quality control jobs within designated systems for allocation to appropriate resources or internal execution
  • Source, contact, and confirm availability of qualified QA/QC resources based on location, expertise, and project requirements
  • Prepare and submit quality control proposals and documentation to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements
  • Expedite receipt of quality reports and inspection documentation within customer-defined timelines, typically 24-48 hours
  • Review all quality reports and inspection findings to ensure customer requirements are met before final submission
  • Immediately notify relevant stakeholders of any critical non-conformances and ensure urgent findings are communicated promptly
  • Manage billing quantities, rates, and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with agreed customer templates
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation in compliance with established quality procedures and organizational policies
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance efficiency through technology adoption and process digitalization
  • Ensure compliance with organizational quality assurance procedures, health and safety policies, and professional conduct standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or inspection coordination
  • Proven experience in reviewing and summarizing technical quality requirements and contractual specifications
  • Previous experience sourcing, assessing, and managing quality control resources and inspectors
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality processes, vendor management, and inspection methodologies
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different time zones
Education & Certifications
  • Must have: Basic management or administration qualification
  • Must have: Business-grade English language proficiency (C1 level)
  • Desirable: ISO 17025Quality Management System (QMS) Internal Auditor certification
  • Must have: ISO 9001Quality Management System (QMS) Internal Auditor certification
  • Desirable: Technical qualifications in quality assurance or related disciplines
  • Highly organized with exceptional ability to prioritize multiple requirements and manage competing deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence in engaging with clients and team members
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; intermediate proficiency in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Ability to work collaboratively within regional and global team environments, both in-person and virtually
  • Digital system proficiency and enthusiasm for driving efficiency improvements through technology
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with quality management systems and inspection management software
  • Familiarity with recruitment or resource management systems
  • Exposure to SharePoint or similar collaborative platforms
  • Knowledge of quality standards and compliance requirements relevant to your industry

Additional Information

Compensation:$24 to $26 per hour / 40 hours per week.
