Job summary

Ontario College of Pharmacists is seeking a leader to head the Quality Assurance program, overseeing development, administration and continuous quality improvement, ensuring compliance with legislation and public protection. The role includes management of the QA team, budgeting, risk management, staff development and cross-department collaboration.

Hybrid work in Ontario is offered for a contract up to 12 months.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulatory and pharmacy legislation, policies, guidelines.
• 7–9 years of supervisory experience in a health care system.
• Ability to manage diverse teams and budgets.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic objectives for QA program aligned with board and legislation.
• Oversee QA program activities including assessments and learning portfolios.
• Manage QA staff including performance reviews and staffing.
• Collaborate with Communications to manage QA information for internal/external audiences.
• Lead risk management and information management within QA.
• Prepare and manage annual departmental budget.
