Job description

CoVet is an AI copilot application built to assist veterinary professionals by saving them time and allowing them to focus more on animal care—or even get home on time. We are a small, passionate, and agile team with a strong mission to improve the veterinary industry through innovative technology.

About the role

We are seeking a QA Lead who will define and execute the end-to-end quality strategy for our web and mobile applications. You will be responsible for leading QA initiatives, building out automation frameworks, hiring and mentoring QA engineers, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure product quality at every stage. This is a highly impactful role with the opportunity to influence product, process, and team direction.

What you'll do

  • Own the quality vision and strategy across the engineering organization.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable manual and automated test frameworks.
  • Establish and evolve QA processes, driving best practices and ensuring high standards of quality across all releases.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to define testable features, acceptance criteria, and ensure test coverage.
  • Build and manage a high-performing QA team: hire, mentor, and guide team members to success.
  • Drive the integration of QA into CI/CD pipelines and oversee test infrastructure management.
  • Report on quality metrics and risks, and lead quality improvement initiatives across sprints and releases.
  • Act as the voice of quality in sprint planning, code reviews, and release readiness discussions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 2+ years in a QA leadership or lead role.
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC processes, test case design, defect management, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Appium, Detox, or similar) and scripting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a strong ability to influence engineering teams and product stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to Firebase Test Lab, Crashlytics, and Google Play/App Store deployment pipelines.
  • Background in performance, load, or security testing is a plus.
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth product company environment.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to shape the QA function.
  • Competitive salary and health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Remote-first culture with flexible working arrangements.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing company and make a real impact in the veterinary industry.

We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. Accommodations are available for candidates participating in all aspects of the selection process.
