Job summary

SOTI Inc is seeking a QA intern in Mississauga to design and execute test plans for web and mobile products. You will work in an agile environment with collaborative teams and learn how to write and maintain test cases, prioritize testing tasks, and participate in the release cycle.

The role requires current enrollment in a CS/CE program, knowledge of data structures and programming basics, and a strong problem-solving mindset. This is an on-site role in the Greater Toronto Area.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures and database fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic programming knowledge in one or more languages (C, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Ruby, Rust, Lua, Haskell).
• Knowledge of web/mobile app testing, OSI model and TCP/IP networking principles.
• Curiosity and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications for SOTI’s products.
• Create, implement, and maintain test coverage for Web and Mobile applications.
• Collaborate with test teams and other stakeholders.
• Prioritize testing tasks, plan scenarios, and report progress.
• Conduct various testing types during feature development and release cycles.
• Follow QA process improvements for consistency across product lines.
• Work in agile development teams to shape SOTI's product offerings.
