Job summary

Hitachi Rail STS Canada, Inc. is seeking a QA Engineer to drive quality assurance and control at the Mississauga installation and commissioning sites. The role requires hands-on auditing, documentation, and liaison with subcontractors to ensure project compliance.

The ideal candidate has a strong QA background in rail/public transit, ISO 9001:2015 knowledge, and solid problem-solving and communication skills to support both daily operations and long-term quality objectives at the site.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience in a Project environment including field installation and delivery.
  • ISO 9001:2015 implementation experience and Lead/Internal Auditor certification.
  • Experience auditing systems, processes, and products.

Responsibilities

  • Support QA/QC activities at installation and commissioning site.
  • Witness/verify inspections and testing of systems and subsystems.
  • Interface with program team, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality alignment with plans.
  • Manage, track, and resolve site NCRs and deficiencies; ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Support on-site quality interfaces with primary subcontractors for daily and long-term objectives.
