Job description

In this role, you will work cross-functionally across teams including sales, marketing, revenue operations, customer success, product, design, and engineering to ensure the quality of Workstream products and release high-quality products.

The QA Engineer will report to the QA Manager and play a key role in a squad team to release stable features.

Day in the Life:

  1. Work closely with PM, Dev, and UX to discuss features, participate in release planning, and test design.
  2. Perform functional testing, API testing, automation testing for feature releases, and follow the testing process to report and analyze bugs.
  3. Engage in all phases of the development cycle to guarantee product quality.
  4. Collaborate with Customer Success/Support to handle customer issues and work with developers for root cause analysis.
  5. Communicate and collaborate effectively with PM, Dev, and UX to ensure high-quality product releases.
  6. Contribute to the design and development of testing tools and platforms to improve QA processes.

Who You Are:

  1. Have 3+ years of experience in testing.
  2. Skilled in various testing methodologies for internet products, with a deep understanding of test design, workflow, and standards. Experience in Web testing is essential.
  3. Familiar with at least one programming language, with JavaScript being preferred.
  4. Knowledgeable about Web API and automation API frameworks.
  5. Experienced with GUI automation test frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, etc.
  6. Familiar with DevOps tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, and with SQL and Shell scripting.
  7. Experience with mobile testing is a plus.
  8. High responsibility and team spirit, proactive and disciplined in work.
  9. Willing to learn and adapt to new solutions to improve quality.
  10. Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.

In compliance with the British Columbia Pay Transparency Act, the base salary range for this role is between $80,000-$140,000 CAD. This range does not include our equity package. Compensation will consider skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
