The QA Automation Tester will work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of changes to the core product. The role requires daily interaction and collaboration with various stakeholders across multiple teams and levels.

Responsibilities:
  1. Identify critical and repetitive automated test cases, automate them, and oversee their execution and maintenance.
  2. Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
  3. Collaborate to ensure bugs are triaged and resolved promptly, fostering a culture of quality within production teams.
  4. Develop and execute automation scripts in an Agile environment, ensuring best practices.
  5. Create and execute test plans across multiple projects, documenting results and working with teammates to identify root causes.
  6. Develop an in-depth understanding of projects, customer context, objectives, and use cases.
  7. Work with project teams to deliver high-quality software that meets customer requirements.
  8. Ensure requirements are testable and that delivered solutions are coherent, consistent, and complete by working closely with customers and team members.
  9. Participate in standups and planning meetings, contribute to risk and hazard identification, and work on issue resolution.
  10. Understand technical features of Smile Digital Health’s products to plan testing and QA activities.
  11. Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  12. Mentor new team members and support QA Lead(s) as needed.
  13. Ensure accurate reporting of working hours in Netsuite, with a focus on billable hours and proper utilization of project management tools.
  14. Track and report billable hours as a key aspect of project management and delivery.
Requirements:
  1. 6+ years experience in automation software testing.
  2. Experience with automated testing tools such as RestAssured and Selenium.
  3. Deep understanding of backend services, API testing, and UI testing approaches.
  4. Proficiency in testing REST APIs using tools like Postman.
  5. Programming skills in Java for test automation.
  6. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation's role in the software development lifecycle.
  7. Hands-on experience in setting up, configuring, and monitoring CI/CD tools.
  8. Experience in electronic health records or systems integration projects is a plus.
  9. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  10. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
  12. Undergraduate degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
