Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a QA Automation/Manual tester to join the EA team in Calgary, Canada. You will collaborate with software developers and product owners to draft requirements, assess risks, and plan, write, and execute both manual and automated tests.

You will automate current manual test cases and develop automation tests using the Selenium Framework to ensure quality in releases. You will create and maintain test plans, execute automated tests on a schedule, and report results via

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA and testing experience.
• 1+ years experience in writing software for test automation.
• Recent grads in Software Development with interest in QA and Testing.
• Experience with Selenium or Appium would be a great asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test plans and test cases from feature requirements.
• Create automated tests for new and legacy features using Selenium Framework.
• Develop reporting dashboards for automated tests and share findings with the team.
• Execute automated tests on a scheduled basis and document results.
• Troubleshoot failures to demonstrate repeatability and improve coverage.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Applications team to ensure adequate testing coverage.
• Maintain test records in a Test Case Management tool.
• Provide time estimates to create and run test cases per project.
• Assist developers and Tier 2 in reproducing defects and verifying fixes.
• Perform other QA and testing duties as required.
