Now Hiring: QA Automation Developers

Location: Primarily Remote, occasional onsite in Edmonton, AB (7000 - 113 ST, T6H 5T6)

Duration: Up to 24 months

Security Clearance: Criminal Background Check Required (Enhanced Security may apply)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead test planning, automation scripting, and test suite implementation
• Perform system, performance, load, and security testing
• Develop and manage reusable testing components and data
• Collaborate in Agile sprints with cross-functional product teams
• Champion TDD/BDD best practices, test coverage, and automation metrics
• Contribute to reporting, dashboards, and QA governance

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 4+ years in test automation scripting/framework development
• 3+ years in preparing and executing test plans
• 3+ years using testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit)
• 3+ years in performance/load/security testing
• 2+ years using GitHub
• 2+ years in coding new test scripts

Nice to Have:

• Experience with API testing, Cucumber/Gherkin, Jira Xray
• Experience implementing QA automation standards and UAT processes
• Dashboard and reporting setup using automated QA metrics
• Familiarity with FOIP, data governance, and secure software practices

Requirements:

• Three (3) professional references (recent, relevant)
• Ability to provide criminal background check and potentially Enhanced Security Clearance
• Must supply own equipment (laptop, software, etc.)

Work Conditions:

• Remote-first with occasional meetings in Edmonton
• Possible travel within Alberta for field research/user testing
• Government-issued access to Microsoft Teams provided
• Completion of mandatory onboarding training (e.g., FOIP, Cybersecurity)
