Job description

Our client is seeking skilled QA Automation Developers to join their team and contribute to the transformation of government services. These positions are integral to delivering efficient, modern, and high-quality digital services for the citizens of Alberta.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to ensure the delivery of quality digital services.
• Create test plans to support frequent delivery of features with consistent and satisfactory quality.
• Develop test cases and scenarios.
• Design and implement system tests, load and performance tests, and security tests.
• Manage automation that allows for rapid and frequent delivery by implementing automated test suites.
• Coordinate contributions to automated test suites.
• Promote quality practices within the team, including code linting, test coverage, and Behavior / Test Driven Development (BDD / TDD).
• Support initiatives for reusable testing components / suites, creation of test databases, and use of AI during testing.
• Assist the team in defining metrics for service quality, contributing to automated metrics collection and report generation.
• 2+ years of experience with coding and developing new testing automation scripts with CI / CD pipeline technologies.
• 4+ years of experience creating and modifying automation test scripts.
• 3+ years of experience preparing or supporting the preparation of automation test plans and cases.
• 3+ years of experience using automation testing frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience with GitHub.
• 3+ years of experience with load testing, performance testing, security testing, and / or end-to-end testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience with API Testing.
• 1+ year of experience with Cucumber and / or Gherkin.
• 1+ year of experience with Cypress.
• 1+ year of experience establishing and gathering automation testing metrics.
• 2+ years of experience implementing QA automation standards within an organization.
• 1+ year of experience with Jira Xray.
• 1+ year of experience with User Acceptance Testing processes in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00 / hr.
