Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a QA Auditor in the Oil & Gas Industry in Calgary, Alberta.

Long-term contract for a QA Auditor starting July/August. The role involves planning, scheduling, and conducting audit activities in compliance with in-house QA auditing principles, practices, and procedures for an Oil & Gas company.

Responsibilities:
  1. Initiating and maintaining effective interfaces with the auditees, sponsors, and technical authorities.
  2. Ensuring all documentation related to the audit scope (e.g., checklist, criteria, references, notification letters, plan/agenda) is current and complete.
  3. Investigating compliance levels with reference documents and assessing pertinent risks.
  4. Identifying deviations/findings, preparing Non-Compliance Reports, and following up to close these reports.
  5. Documenting the audit process and findings through comprehensive Audit Reports.
Requirements:
  • An engineering degree, preferably registered or eligible for registration with APEGA, with experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Degrees in Mechanical, Material, Welding, or Industrial Engineering are assets.
  • Minimum 10 years of direct experience in Projects or In-service Quality Assurance, focusing on conducting and managing Quality Systems audits.
  • Lead Auditor certification in QMS, OHS, or EMS (preferably QMS) from a reputable international organization (e.g., IRCA, Exemplar Global) is an asset.
  • Knowledge and certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Green/Black Belt) are assets.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards (ISO, CSA, API, ASME, Alberta Safety Codes Act - ABSA) and their application.
