Job summary

Patch Tech Staffing is seeking a Junior/Intermediate QA Analyst to help ensure quality of the client’s flagship platform with manual testing, Playwright automation, and light SQL work. The role is hybrid, based in Bolton, Ontario.

You will design test cases, execute functional and regression tests, write clear defect reports, contribute to end-to-end automation tests, and collaborate with developers and product managers to verify fixes across releases.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in software QA or testing (co-op/internship counts)
• Solid QA fundamentals including test case design and defect lifecycle
• Working knowledge of SQL and SSMS for basic queries and data updates
• Strong attention to detail and ability to write clear bug reports
• Good communication and team-first attitude
• Hybrid schedule with Bolton, Ontario office
• Exposure to test automation, ideally Playwright or similar (Cypress/Selenium)
• Experience with Git and agile/Scrum environment

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing on the platform.
• Write clear, well-organized test cases and document defects with steps.
• Contribute to automated tests using Playwright and code reviews from the team.
• Verify data via SSMS with basic queries to set up test conditions.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and reproduce issues.
• Participate in release verification and maintain quality across deployments.
• Track and report testing progress, defects, and overall product quality.
