Description
This role involves ensuring quality through testing and validation of systems. The responsibilities include:
- Providing advice on testing strategies, test plans, and tool selection.
- Planning and organizing testing efforts for large systems, including GUI and non-GUI environments, such as systems integration, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Developing and executing test plans, scripts, and cases across various system components.
- Collaborating with testing leads, IT leads, and project team members throughout the system development lifecycle.
General Skills
- Experience in planning, organizing, and executing testing efforts.
- Knowledge of structured development methodologies.
- Proficiency with CASE tools, data query tools, automated testing tools, and version control systems.
- Experience with functional, non-functional, and integration testing.
- Supporting and participating in UAT activities.
- Understanding of QA principles, practices, and tools.
- Creating comprehensive testing documentation.
- Experience with various testing phases, including unit, integration, load, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in teams.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language and automated testing tools.
- Understanding of testing in object-oriented environments and information management principles.
- Familiarity with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.

Soft Skills (40%)

Testing Experience (35%)
- Minimum 8+ years as a Software QA Tester.
- At least 5+ years testing COTS applications.
- Experience with Oracle Siebel CRM and Siebel Test Automation is a plus.
- Experience with Adobe AEM is advantageous.
- Understanding of SDLC and project management methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.
Technical Skills (20%)
- Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of defect management lifecycle.
- Ability to document test cases and execution plans.
- Experience with automation tools (GUI and API) and SQL is a plus.
Public Sector Experience (5%)
- Experience with Siebel modules relevant to the public sector and case management is beneficial.
Must Haves
- 8+ years of QA testing experience.
- Testing experience with Oracle Siebel CRM and Adobe AEM.
- Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps for defect tracking.
Nice to Have
- Experience with specific Siebel modules like Public Sector CRM, Contracts, etc.
