The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack development with hands‑on experience in Python, React, and cloud‑native technologies. As a Full Stack Developer, candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust end‑to‑end solutions — with a deep focus on understanding the underlying systems work with. Candidate will play a key role in architecting scalable backend services, developing intuitive frontend experiences, and ensuring the reliable delivery of software across containerized, distributed environments.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $105k – CAD $115k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and Celery.
• Design and manage PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and migrations.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Support distributed, async task processing at scale.

Requirements

• Python (Django, REST APIs, ORM).
• Celery (async task queues, beat scheduling, workers).

Preferred, but not required

• GitHub Actions (CI/CD pipeline authoring, workflows, secrets management).
• Service mesh or Gateway API experience (Istio, cert‑manager).
