Job description

A career within PwC Private will provide the opportunity to help private companies with a range of business advisory needs such as audit, tax compliance, and planning to improve operational efficiency and focus on business strategy. You will experience the entire business life cycle of a private company, from inception to growth, maturity, and transition. Our team designs and implements personalized service plans tailored to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals, focusing on wealth management, compliance, cash flow, equity expansion, divestiture, and exit strategies.

Meaningful work you'll be part of

As an Associate, you'll work with a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinate the preparation of Engagement Letters with acceleration centers.
  2. Conduct validation calls with tax authorities regarding installments, CDA balances, client proxies, etc.
  3. Extract and validate information from CRA and Revenu Québec online portals.
  4. Assist with risk and quality management tasks in Salesforce and set up clients and job codes in iPower.
  5. Help prepare low-complexity memorandums on the impact of transactions on financial statements and tax returns.
  6. Assist in calculating the capital dividend account and preparing related documents for tax authorities.
  7. Help prepare and transmit various tax forms (T2057, T2054, T2027, etc.) and tax returns (T5, T3, T1).
  8. Format and edit documents using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and other software.
  9. Organize and upload client documents in the Global Office database and TAX CCM system.

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of manipulating text and graphics in documents and working with PDFs.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through firm tools, training, and networking.
  • Prioritize tasks, develop schedules, monitor progress, and manage details effectively.
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Experience as an Administrative Assistant or Law Clerk is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French, with the ability to adapt communication style.
  • Ability to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients and colleagues.
  • Presence in the Quebec office is required regularly to support local clients and team.
