The Pursuits Lead Role
The Pursuits Lead supports the development of persuasive bid materials with the goal of winning new contract opportunities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce compelling, persuasive bid documents and pursuit materials.
- Review client pursuit documentation to understand scope and bid requirements.
- Set internal deadlines for the pursuit process involving subject matter experts (SMEs), including commercial and estimating teams.
- Coordinate with multiple SME departments to ensure tasks are understood, risks are managed, and deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with Civeo’s Sales team to define bid strategy and win themes.
- Gather clarifying questions from SMEs and communicate client responses internally.
- Review, edit, and approve all SME work to ensure compliance, completeness, accuracy, and coherence with client standards.
- Ensure proposal structure aligns with client RFP requirements.
- Maintain adherence to Civeo’s standards, practices, and branding guidelines.
- Conduct post-pursuit reviews to identify improvements and coaching opportunities.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the Pursuits Library, including static documents, templates, and graphics.
- Assist in the development of systems, standards, and practices to improve bid process efficiency.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Post-secondary degree in Commerce, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
- At least 2 years’ experience managing complex technical pursuits in sales or marketing environments.
- Exceptional business and technical writing skills for persuasive, clear, and accurate content.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or professional services is a plus.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives under deadlines.
- Effective communication and rapport-building skills with stakeholders and team members.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), Salesforce CRM, and web interfaces.
- Knowledge of document management in SharePoint.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime to meet deadlines.
- Writing skills in both English and French are advantageous but not required.
